A Class in Wonders, frequently abbreviated as ACIM, is a profound and influential religious text that emerged in the latter half the 20th century. The roots of A Program in Wonders can be tracked back to the relationship between two persons, Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford, equally of whom were prominent a course in miracles psychologists and researchers. The course’s inception occurred in the early 1960s when Schucman, who was simply a medical and study psychologist at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, started to see a series of inner dictations. She explained these dictations as coming from an interior voice that identified it self as Jesus Christ. Schucman initially resisted these experiences, but with Thetford’s inspiration, she started transcribing the communications she received.

Over an amount of seven years, Schucman transcribed what would become A Course in Wonders, amounting to three volumes: the Text, the Workbook for Pupils, and the Guide for Teachers. The Text lays out the theoretical basis of the program, elaborating on the key ideas and principles. The Book for Pupils includes 365 instructions, one for each day of the year, developed to guide the audience by way of a day-to-day exercise of applying the course’s teachings. The Handbook for Educators gives further guidance on how best to realize and train the rules of A Program in Wonders to others.

Among the main styles of A Class in Wonders is the thought of forgiveness. The course teaches that correct forgiveness is the important thing to inner peace and awareness to one’s heavenly nature. In accordance with their teachings, forgiveness isn’t simply a ethical or ethical exercise but a fundamental shift in perception. It involves allowing go of judgments, grievances, and the notion of sin, and alternatively, seeing the entire world and oneself through the lens of enjoy and acceptance.
